Jason Bowers grew up in Cape Girardeau and has been a practicing physician assistant for over 10 years. Before earning his physician assistant degree, he worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital for a decade in the pharmacy, surgery department and intensive care unit. He joined Regional Brain & Spine in 2007.

Jason enjoys neurosurgery because of its complexity. He has the knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat an array of brain and spinal conditions. He also assists in surgeries and helps guide patients through the recovery process. His goal is to give patients a better understanding of the underlying source of their symptoms and clearly explain the treatment options available to them.

Jason is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants. Jason and his wife Ashley live in Cape Girardeau with their son and daughter. Jason attends La Croix Methodist Church and is an avid fisherman and fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
